Steyr MA-1
My roommate and best friend just got himself a Steyr MA-1 for christmas...
I was gonna get him some mags for his p5, but figured he could use some stuff for his Steyr. I have found a few 15 rd. LEO marked mags for him and have ordered those, but as far as other parts and decently priced accessories, I can't find ****. The same lack of parts convinced my dad to forego the Steyr and get me a glock 19, apparently; I have fired an older steyr m9 and really liked it, was going to use it for TCLEOSE qualifications when I was doing the CJ thing but a lack of duty holsters made me have to go with a borrowed Ruger and a borrowed Glock. What can I get for him besides more mags? Are there any decent holsters out there besides the Blade-techs? I really want to do something nice for him-he got me a bunch of neat stuff (some stuff for the Wii I brought to our apartment, some glock stuff), I'm just having a REALLLLLY hard time finding anything for the Steyr. Is it possible to have a trigger job done for him on the Steyr? Would it be as simple as when I play with the trigger on my glock...?

Yup, I love the Steyr "M" and "M-A1" series pistols, but they never attained the popularity they needed for a flourishing aftermarket.
"Steyrclub" is the #1 source for scarce Steyr parts and accessories, and some very good do-it-yourself topics. Haven't tried doing a trigger job myself, but there's also a guy there (forgot his name offhand) who does them. http://www.steyrclub.com/ |
