First Blood: the actual bridge.
For all you movie buffs like me. You can compare you DVD images to this one.
Remember the part when the cop drives Rambo outside city limits and dumps him off at this bridge? Then arrests him after he starts crossing the bridge and walking back into town. Well heres the bridge. Some questions; Is this Canada or Washington State.??? Looks like Canada, mabe, from the signs but is it? If you were Rambo would you have kept walking or would you have turned back?? Why create confrontation? Move on to the next town. Less problems that way? Could he/you have survived in that rain forest under the same ((Hollywood conditions))?? With what? A Jimmy Lyle, knife ((spelling)). If yu were the cop: Would you have jacked this "transient" who has done nothing wrong. ..Broken no laws?? If so, why ?? After you found out he was a: "Green Beret. Congressional Medal of Honor" ((like they said in the movie)). Would you have continued to pursue him. ? or let him go? If so, why? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkAnS...eature=related |

Not a movie buff, but saw an interview with Brian Dennehy discussing his career.
That knife was made by Lyle and he made excellent blades with quality steel and VERY sharp. When Dennehy shoved the knife into the sheath at the bridge scene, he got it a little cocked and the tip went thru the leather sheath and into Dennehy's hand. Being a pro, he tried to finish the scene, but was on the verge of fainting from pain and blood running down his hand. He was happy that was the only time he had to handle the knife. |

About eight seconds into the clip you can see a Canadian flag flying on a building to the left of the screen.
