WTK: price on Chinese Mak-90
I know nothing about AKs. Just saw in local shop Mak90 Chinese with really heavy receiver (milled?) for $500. Wood in good shape. Fit and finish pretty decent. Barrel good.
Good buy or not? Thanks for the input.

if it is a milled receiver you should snatch it up for $500.00 very good deal.
the stamped receiverd ones go for $450 to $500.00 anymore. hope this helps BIG50 |

These are great rifles and usually under valued. I would say that a used milled receiver (no rivets) MAK would top out at about $500, unless it has been converted to a regular stock and other US parts. I believe you need 6 parts with an AK. This one would need 5 because it does not have a flash hider.
I'm sure Big50 is more in tune with prices than I am. Looks like we all rushed to reply at the same time. For $550, I'd consider one gunplumbers AKs. Mark is one of the best builders out there. See his add a little further down. HTH Bugs

for $500 pick it up!!!!!!
chinese AKs are amazing, I've owned 6 mak90s, and paid anywhere from 300 to 425 for stamped, and I've paid the $500 for milled mak90s, hell another $100-150 with parts and you've got a top notch comblock MILLED Ak. Unconverted SLR's go for 600-700. MIlled mak90s appear to be running 550-600+ right now, so for 500 if you have the money I'd buy it. but like I said, I've owned 6, so maybe I'm biased, but damn for the money, BUY IT!!!!!!!
