There were a couple forsale here a few weeks back, might search the forum. Of course they probably sold quickly!

I'm in the market myself, or would like to borrow or rent one to copy. Jeff

Maybe EX1 or Rooster can find one. They seem to have magical ju-ju when it comes to the rarities.

Isreali HB hinged top cover

I have one of the top covers with the hinged door on it. Called a collector of FAL's and he told me to list it at $149.00 plus shipping. I don't know if I am out of line on price or not, but I showed it to a lot of people and they all said they have never seen one. If interested, please contact me at: tal35-sav99 @ usa.net I believe this to be new.

HB topcover

Well, considering how reasonable I bought it, I was happy to sell it for what I did and Howard then got a great deal on it too!!

Bought one of 'em years ago at a show for $20 without even knowing exactly what it was beyond a FAL top cover. A year or so ago someone had a WTB offering $200.

They sure aren't very common - I wonder how many were ever made ? IIRC, Israel developed them for the FALO but by the time production was ready, they had already decided to phase out the FALO, so I'm guessing they were never very common even "over there" ??

uh, seeing that was 20 yrs ago, they just might be sold out!

I bought one at $80.00 and then at $65.00 when they dropped their price. Shortly after I called and they were sold out. Yes, this was all in the late 80's.

Larry
ps: no, I no longer has the covers.

Yup, I sold the two that I had within seconds of posting here in Marketplace.

Then, I had emails for WEEKS!

The only thing that lasted longer than the "covers" and the "emails" was...my pictures!

You're welcome!
