from Dallas to Shreveport, about 4 hours.. and a little bit of 'Indian Country' in a couple spots.. not the best place to have a vehicle malfunction.. and due to the holiday, lot's of 'interesting' people at the fuel/rest stops..

Stay out of the first motel over the bridge at Baton Rouge. It gets very dark there very early, heh. Don't ask me how I found out.
