Century Aussie ammo arrives, with pics

MF67
The can was a little rusty on the outside, but the ammo looks good.

I understand why there is so much of this ammo left......the boat to Viet Nam was loaded full of Mutton and Fosters...... they had to leave the ammo behind!

I knew CAI had something up their sleeves: Advertised verbally as 80s - yeah right. I hope the '67 shoots as good as the '80's;wish I had a box or two for side beside testing for funzies.

just like what is pictured.

One of you guys that bought some, please chronograph. It will be interesting to see how the velocity compares to the newer stuff. FWIW, the '83 averages 2720 - 2730 fps and the '91 & '92 are close to 2,750. (Over a PACT chronograph using a 21" Imbel barrel @ ~9 Yds.)

AUSSIE AMMO

SOMEONE ON M-14 FORUM CHROMOGRAPHED IT AT 2,809 FPS AVG.

IT IS UNDER AMMO BUNKER SECTION.

Thanks. I would like to see what some does in a FAL as well (preferably through a 21" barrel).

Whats wrong with using it to shoot commies these days Andy? Plenty of slant eyes here spying on us on behalf of the Panda Express. Spying is punishable by death at time of war. Whether you abide with the UCMJ or not.

....could be but when all the war stock was cleaned out and exported to the US it was on the condition that it was not sold locally. I had a mate up at Myambat that loaded up a stack of it from storage there, I will give him a ring and see if there was any this old squirreled away, it would not surprise me.

That sounds right...remember when the Malaysians started to make their own 7.62x51 they packed the 30cal cans with the same 40rd and 20rd box combo to make 300rds.

MY local sporting goods store usually has the latest Century stuff. Has no ammo. May be on the way, however.
