The old parts will work fine, but I like to use the Falcon Arms lower internal kit. And it includes 3 US parts!

The old parts are fine. But they are not USA build ergo, they are not legal. You have to use 7 US parts for the gun to be compliant.
I like DSA parts. I order them the come in the mail. I don't have to use the customer service!

What's it gonna be, Boy? Yes..... or..... No??
No need to "sleep on it", Baby, Baby, you can use "used" innards with NO problems; good heavens, there's nothing particularly magic or special or unique about DSA parts. Every single "used" part is durable, reliable, was made with the rifle and was designed to last for tens of thousands of rounds and beyond. I would dare say certain "used" parts are superior to their US replacements from DSA or anybody else. That said, I particularly favor FSE fire control parts for their smoothness, but I've had rifles during the parts-swapping game that ran original fire control parts and I have never been "nervous" or "dissatisfied" about that. I've felt a few military triggers that were pretty decent; others that I marked for priority replacement (too stiff, gritty, whatever). Sort of the luck of the draw. gunnut1 is jumping a little ahead of himself. ANY "USED" PART IS PERFECTLY LEGAL TO USE IN YOUR RIFLE. What he is specifically talking about is maintaining your 922r compliance, which is that you use no more than 10 "foreign" parts FROM A SPECIFIC LIST in your rifle, out of 17 specifically-identified parts. I'm not going to get into 922r here, there is a ton of information right here on the Files with simple search terms like "922r" and "compliance" and "US parts", do your own research work in case you don't know about this. --Radio

I would agree about the springs, especially recoil springs. Replacement is cheap insurance, IMHO.
I strongly prefer the late FSE hts, over Falcon and early DSA, no experience with the newer DSAs which I hear are good. Interestingly, I have some really quite good trigger pulls on rifles using "well used" original hts's. I'm thinking the dang things don't wear in and smooth out until they have about a zillion rounds throuh 'em ! Never any problems with original fire control parts, although I have rejected a very few on visual inspection showing engagement surface chips or heavily worn hammers ( where the bolt cams them ). Someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe original parts are machined from forgings or billet, some of the US stuff is machined castings. I doubt whether there is any difference we'll see in our lifetimes, but let's face it, liking FALs implies a bit of preference for "old school", doesn't it ? 922r permitting, I usually scrounge the parts bins for an original set with a decent pull if possible.
