Various C1A1 pics

Stu,

Here's the ones I promised. Teh first shows the markings and new style take down lever.

Another shot of the markings which shows quality of machining.

Late style front sight ears which were the same as the C2A1.

Bayonet markings.

Finally, over-all pic.

Recce, put that thing away before these Americans hurt themselves, could put a dent in the metric receiver market

It's a good thing that receiver says "RIFLE" on it, or else someone might mistake it for a tentpeg, a barbecue rotisserie oven or a leaf blower!

Gorgeous, RECCE!

Really nice Recce.
Love those C1A1s. Hope mine looks as nice when I'm done, assuming I can ever find a real C1A1 barrel. Canadian barrels must the rarest FN part on earth.

Woodie,

Sorry, don't have a line on a gas block.

Buff,

Probably stamped "rifle" on it to keep the recruits from calling it a gun

Irish,

There's a place up here that is advertising L1A1 barrels for about $150 Cdn if that would do. I can give you a contact # if you want.

Recce:

I am confused (not an unusual situation, it seems...) a bit. The shot of the bayonet and flash hider makes the f/h look like the slots are not cut through, or have been sleeved.

Is that right?

Buff,
No it's not sleeved, just the angle of the pic. I can send you of it straight on if you wish. Standard Cdn flash eliminator that Kevin Adams has pictured before.

That is not a bad looking shooter mate...probably the only better looking ones are the Aussie made versions.... ...but I may be a little bias on this. Makes me want to rummage through the photo albums and find a pic or two of a couple of mine from "the good 'ol days" when I still was allowed to have one .

No thanks, no need, the answer is what I was after.

That is indeed a fine looking rifle.
