Trying out for WESCOG (Falwoo inside)
Awaiting a few parts to finish a FAL so I "dressed up" one of my Daewoos that always had aspirations to be a FAL.
![]() Does this qualify me as a WECSOG candidate? Thanks,Rick in FL

Footlongcuban,
The parts are slowly coming in. Waiting on the receivers and a few parts from Dan at VOW. Why let everyone else have all the fun! I'm in St. Pete where do you shoot? |

Harris, I call it a WooFal or FalWoo and while we don't get 98rock we do at least get Bubba up here.
FLC, The other half can do as she pleases with the sheets as she says not a word on what I do with "gun stuff" ![]() She even kinda laughed when she came in and saw me teetering on the foot board taking pictures "of the other women" Snapped these as well before I fell off the footboard.

FLC, I just hacked the barrel on the Daewoo to make a shorty. I like the Fal in cross-dress, is it just a mockup? How do you keep the handguards from moving forward?
Thanks, Rick |

Rayman,
that's a super job you did with the DR200 !! Looks really cool. Now, I have a friend who owns a couple of DR200 and he is interested to turn one of them to a "FALWoo". So, the questions are : 1. How did you get the FAL butt-stock to fit the DR200 ? 2. Where can I get the foregrip like the one you used, and did you modify it to fit ? 3. Can I use a standard FAL metric HG instead ? Thanks OZ |

Rayman, nice rifles! Let me know if any decide to leave home. Is that an Indian kit on upside down rifle under camo gun in pic #1?

NC-Rifleman, Yes that is an Indian. Most say they are trash but if is my favorite next to my G-1 (German). Bummer is that I have to just slip the brake over the bare barrel to make it look authentic for club shows as I can't seem to be able to bore one out to slip over the barrel to pin on.
Oz, On the Falwoo I took a Izzy heavy handguard set and a small pair of vise-grips to bend the "collar" a bit inward to make it smaller to fit. It seemed to be better than the cut and bend I have seen to fit the Heavy front to the Std. handguard ring. The rear stock was an Izzy standard and the buttstock ferrule was Dremel cut and squared to the receiver width. A small cut was made in the lower for the bottom of the ferrule to fit into and the stock was relieved in the same area. The Daewoo stock already has one heck of a beefy screw to hold everything. The hardest part was the grip made from a STG. I should have gotten the Ace one but did not need it for the parts count so I hacked and hacked on the STG one and bent a bolt rearward once it was through the lower to get the correct angle for the grip. The Ace one I have seen is realy a nice setup. Rick in FL |
