fn fal .223 question .
right in front of the bolt handle on top of the forearm where the gas tube is there is a lever that flips from side to side .. what is this ?
this thing have a gas piston like a regular fal ? how do you get it out .. where can i read up on this model . ? tia mm

Suggest posting a picture.
The lever you describe does not exist on the SAR4800 5.56 Fal, is this somebody else's conversion?

Not all FNCs had the folding stock. A smaller number came with fixed stocks.
