Proud new owner

I am the proud new owner of a DSA SA58 Medium Contour .308. I picked it up from my FFL dealer this afternoon. It looks absolutely like new. It is hard to believe that this rifle is about 3 years old. This is the model with an integrated muzzle brake. Next week, I am taking it down to my gunsmith and have him cut the barrel down to 18" and thread it for a new Belgian Type Short Flash Hider I just ordered from DSA. If the weather permits tomorrow, it will get shot. Worst case scenario, I will have to wait until Monday or Tuesday. In the meanwhile, I have four 20-round Steyr magazines loaded and ready to go. Hopefully, in about a week, I can have a photo up. I am going to try and get a family photo too.

Congradulations! Now get some banana clips for it, take off your shoes, and lay it on the driveway for a pic.

hmm

How could you falfiles veterans be jealous? I think it's the other way around. When I read about some of you fellas who have collected (or created) an FAL variant for each country in which they were used.... we rookies should be the jealous ones. I only have two now but I need one of each variant! Thats what you guys have taught me.

Hey Renegade. My first FAL was also the 21" DSA medium contour variant. Like yours it was a safe queen as well. I called DSA with the serial number and they gave me the manufacture date. Mine was built in 1999 and had a removable muzzle brake (silver soldered on). I also replaced it with a belgian short. Love the look.
