OT- Customer must have a T-Rex

Does anyone know who is making the .577 T.Rex or if it's a custom build available? I've got a customer who simply MUST have one- he's a recoil
junkie and has more money than sense. But I told him I'd check around and
find out what one would run him. I found one round of ammo on gunbroker.com for over $20. He'd better find me the dies too.........
TIA LAFAL

Or Shawn Carlock- Defensive Edge

These guys are sicker than I when it comes to big mags

still looking for info on builders or rifles. Thanks for the leads but they both said they do precision long range fifles and not recoil monsters.

He wants recoil, eh? Here's a cheap recoil fix. Take a double trigger side by side 12 gauge, cut the barrels to 18", load two 3" goose loads, mount it loosely, pull both triggers at the same time........

Thats cool, are they doing the complete rifle, or just the barreled action?

Check with a local Orthopaedic surgeon. They will probably have a good lead.

A-Square invented this behemoth. They specialize in building big boomers on 1917 Enfield actions. They can build your customer a .577 T Rex for a fairly reasonable amount of money unless he requires special accodations like a left handed action.

The only problems I've ever read about A-Square rifles though, is that they're generally plain and clunky. Still, they're a hell of a way to get into a sho' nuff shoulder fired howitzer.

I thought any centerfire bigger than .50 was considered a destructive device. Obviously there must be a loophole or exception for the .577 and .700, can anyone elaborate? How about the .787 (better known as the 20mm)?

You can petition the BATF to approve your monster blaster as a sporting cartridge. There is a group of big bore cranks on another forum I frequent that like to develop their own big bore cartridges. The BAFT doesn't seem to have a problem allowing most people design something like a .577 T Rex.

I'm waiting to hear back from A-Square and am searching for an Enfield 1917 action in the meanwhile. A-Square's toll free number isn't in service anymore nor are they listed in the regular phone book. Hopefully they didn't close over the holidays............
