Who has best trigger group?

Title says most of it, but besides the best U.S. trigger group, I need a source for stainless gas piston also.

Also need best place to buy US compliant parts that are as close as possible to original STG parts:

Prong Flashhider
Pistol grip
Foregrip

Any other sources besides the advertised suppliers for these kind of parts?

This topic was discussed last week. FSE's are the best by far.
http://www.falfiles.com/forums/showt...hreadid=186963

As far as the best StG style US flashider, try the Gunplumber @ www.arizonaresponsesystems.com he makes an excellent US copy of the original, he also has FSE pistol grips which would be the closest US copy of the originals. There are no sources for US-made StG style metal handguards.

Cheers

I second the vote . . . James/Gun Parts Guy has taken very good care of me, and the stuff shows up about an hour BEFORE you order it (ok, perhaps a SLIGHT exaggeration!).

Great to work with, give him a try.

As far as which are best, I would say origional Belgian, but that wouldn;t be of any help would it?

I got an ARS Shorty Stoll in the other day. It is so purty, I almost can't bear to put it on a rifle.

It was so purty, I WOULD NOT put it on a barrel, except I have a spanking new GPG US made barrel for it.

The FSE FCG is so slick, I thought there was sumpin wrong with it. But there ain't. Slicker'n owl scat. Ask me how I know about THAT.

FSE HTS in one FAL

Falcon Arms TPR springs/DSA original factory HTS in the other

Both reliable, smooth, crisp, 4-4.5 lb. (before I polished and installed the TPR, the factory DSA bottomed out a 15 lb pull gauge....15 lbs!!!!)

slight edge goes to the FSE as it has less take up....it feels like a 2 stage

I just put an FSE HTS in a lower this week.
I did the "ce" special tune up very lightly to burnish the surfaces a bit and this is one Sweet Trigger. I'll measure the pull when I get over to McDoobers to twist on the barrel. I bet this has about a 3.5lb trigger pull. Clean no grit 2 stage trigger.

FSE

I have a FSE in my Personal match rifle and it is very crisp with no felt travel.
Saved me $185 for a Williams set trigger,

I am not too happy with my recent FSE trigger. It has about five times the creep of an older version and only about a pound less pull. I trimmed an original return spring for the older parts. The creep I feel might just be the first stage takeup and the second stage is too light to notice. It's light and I can't predict when it will go off.
I'd rate what I got as about the same improvement for more money with different benefits. Go figure.

I can't seem to find a link to RPB-USA anymore, weren't they the ones who sold stuff for FSE?

Where can you get an H/T/S set now?

I just built an STG58 and was not able to find an exact U.S. copy of the Stoll flash hider. I used FCG(3), gas piston, cocking handle, receiver, and pistol grip for my compliance parts so I could keep the original flash hider. Good luck!

FSE is nice out of the box and handles simple trigger work mods. DSA; however, makes the better in my opinion. Truer to the original design and better heat treatment. I have a small trigger work business as some of you know, I have access to all sorts of combinations that come in from customers.

I like DSA and original parts, they fit and work right the first time, every time when performing a trigger job. FSE has several versions and require very careful fitting when working these.

Out of the box, they all work about the same, closing up the tolerances for a better pull, then DSA is the winner in my book.

Were these made before or after April 1 2006?

I just got a HTS set from FSE recently. It practically fell in, and functions perfectly.
If it turns out you don't like it, they will give you a full refund INCLUDING shipping costs BOTH ways.
Tough to beat an offer like that

From FSE'e website.

As of April 1, 2006 our metric hts has incorporated a number of product improvements:

The sear engagement surface at the rear of the trigger has been recut to improve trigger reset.
Sear engagement surfaces at the front and back of the sear have been ground to improve trigger pull and trigger reset.
A new, reduced weight trigger return spring (it installs inside the pistol grip), and a new reduced weight sear spring is now included at no extra charge. We did not include nor do we offer a replacement for the hammer return spring because, in our opinion, we can achieve a good trigger pull with the original. Reducing the strength of this spring can cause light primer strikes with some ammo.
This hts set has been installed in a metric lower and tested for safety function, trigger reset, and trigger pull.
The trigger pull will test at no greater than 5 ½ pounds. Often, the actual pull will be slightly lower.
I now personally test every set that ships out and gurantee them to drop in without fitting. This is why I no longer sell (since April 1, 2006) this particular product through resellers, since it takes more time to do this with each set. You have a 30 day money back guarantee and a lifetime replacement guarantee for the original owner.

If you have purchased FSE metric hts from any other vendor, it does not incorporate these improvements.

I feel this product is a great value. Usually, to get a trigger pull this good from a US made hts you would have to buy replacement springs and/or pay a gunsmith for a trigger job.

If you are currently considering among the different US made metric hts manufacturers for you FAL rifle, please consider this offer:

You can buy our set and the competitor's. If you believe that ours is not the better value, for whatever reason, send our set back with a copy of the other companies invoice (showing purchase of their US made FAL metric hts) within 30 days and we will give you a complete refund including our shipping charge AND your shipping cost to return it to us (at first class USPS postage rate).
