Finally, an Airsoft FAL
I'm not into Airsofting these days -- but used to play once a month with a big group at a local paintball place.
Anyway, I was just looking over some of the Airsoft sites for ol' time's sake, and looks like somebody is FINALLY coming out with an Airsoft version of a FAL (G1 no less!): http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...ch_king%20arms Doesn't look quite as high quality as good old Tokyo Mauri (and expensive too!)-- but at least someone is finally making an Airsoft FAL. I know Airsoft isn't as fun when you have the real thing.. but you can't exactly shoot your friends with real 7.62 NATO if you still want friends. Besides, most of as can't own full-auto FALs! I know many of you will scoff at spending more money than it costs to buy a real receiver on a toy, but thought some folks might be interested. |

yea i played paintball a couple times when i was younger it's actually pretty fun. i agree i don't get the guys who are like fuxors real guns we get to shoot eachother you shoot at paper. but i mean if you got the real thing and the fake thing it ain't so bad. a company in japan did make an l1a1 but they seem to be very scarced in the states. can only really get them in japan. i just don't get spending all that cash on gear just to play airsoft but since i have it for shooting the real thing it'd have a dual purpose. but one it's hard to find that one and two with the price of the thing i could be that much closer to building another real l1a1 so thats why i've yet to do it. but i mean you could use the full out tactical battles they do to work on team tactics it has some purpose.

Overall, not bad. The trigger gaurd's a little messed up, though.
I still think Airsoft sucks. Paintball's better

yea i kind of like paintball more also. but ive never played airsoft but i figure if it hurts and gets your attention it might work. i say they need differnt sized pellets depending on the caliber of your gun. or even the stuff they had in that one chucky movie where the guys had normal bolt action rifles loading with bullets that had paint tips. i've never been able to find such a thing though. but it sounded real and everything but had paint.

The whole lower receiver is messed up! Everything is too far forward, which is why they had to squish the trigger guard into a strange shape!
Must have been done to accomodate the internal parts. 1gewehr

Yeah, but for a 95-round mag capacity, it could be fun around the house.
I assume it has a functional full-auto setting. My wife says I can't have one because I don't clean up the pellets all over the floor, and the cat goes absolutely ape-shit when the vacuum cleaner runs over the plastic pellets. *sigh*

Sounds like your cat needs to be "informed" about airsoft FALs. Although don't let fry on, he'll prolly blow the cat a new turd cutter with a .45. LOL.

Pretty amazing the tooling investment it takes to make these. Even in Airsoft, someone went to some trouble. Pretty neat, even if not my cup of Joe.
