Tapco's New lower recievers
I bought one of Tapco's new in the wrapper lower. It is absolutely perfect. Great park, both stud and recoil tube. My question is, is it a standard metric or is it a STG58/G1. Can owners of true FN's and STG58's measure the distance between the leading edge of the front sight ramp and the bottom of the reciever with a mic/caliper and give us the distances? I know an STG58 is NOT parallel while a metric is. BTW, which sights do I use?

Hey Indycar, both the STG and the G1's used the low sight lines so the sights are the same.HTH

If you mean the shoulder below the rear sight, the G1s will be parallel same as FN made Fals. The Austrian Stg lower has a more angled shoulder which can cause mismatch between lower and buttstock when FN and Austrian lower/buttstocks are interchanged.
The top lower is G1, middle FN made Stg, both with with straight shoulder below rear sight. The bottom lower is Austrian Stg with angled shoulder.
