10/22 magnum
been looking for one, actually two of these. someone told me somebody in prescott az or the gun shop was named prescott or something like that was the largest seller of these as i have been unable to find any. any body know or is my brain starting to fry?

Ever since the .17 HMR came out, those .22 Magnum 10/22's have been in short supply. You can swap out the .22 Magnum barrel to .17 HMR and be off to the races. I guess too many people want to do that and prices are crazy. High demand, low supply = high prices.

Actually 10/22 magnums are no longer being made by ruger. Apparently the later ones with 2 extractors suffered bolt fractures and ruger stopped fixing them. If you want one buy it now.

You might think about buying one of Ruger's M77 bolt guns in .22 mag. I love mine. Far more accurate than my 10/22.
