Israeli style forward assist charging handle
So you need the carrier machined to work with this. How much do the smiths charge to do that?
Is it likely to be better to just buy the ready-made? Any of the vendors take trade-ins on carriers and other serviceable parts? |

You can make the cut yourself with a good file or Dremel type tool. I usual charge $20-$25 for the cutting the carrier with the mill. Do a quick search and you'll find loads of info on the cut size/location.
