Leaving NM, Here's Some Goodbye Photos

Well, folks, the time has come for my move to the great green of Oregon where hopefully I can weed out some gun-lovers from the crowds of angry hipsters. I really wanted to thank all the NM Fal'ers who helped me learn and supported my love of shooting. Thanks, guys, and wish me luck on my masters degree.

For your viewing pleasure, here are a couple of propaganda images set up by myself and photographed by my girlfriend and partner-in-crime. Model goes by "Ivana Takitoff" and is featured in a sucessful Albuquerque burlesque troupe known as "Burlesque Noir". The Tula '52 SKS and "Big 5 Special" 91/30 Mosin Nagant are mine, the model has quite a thing for Soviet history and propaganda, which is just dandy with me.

Perhaps these should have gone into "girls in uniform", but I didn't want to bother and that's just too freakin' bad, ain't it?

Oh, and just so nobody complains about a lack of FAL's in this post, here's myself and Colin in Cabezon with our STG-58's.

Enjoy.

Be sure to scour back road gunshops near Sisters and Bend for Williams products - particularly QD Pro scope mounts.

Welcome to Oregon!

My brother Karl (Dation) and I live in Portland. We should get some local FAL Files guys together and go up shooting. That way you can get acquainted with some of the backroads here in Oregon.
Oregon is a great place to explore.
Heres a website you should check out:
http://www.brian894x4.com/INSEARCHOFHISTORY.html
His website is HUGE, so have fun!

Thanks,
Erik

Have ggiilliiee teach Comrade Fishnetska a few trick shots on the old Simonovski.

Let us know how she does. We already know you can fire 8 shots in under a second.

Nice pic

Hi Barjack,
Nice pic, but the first pic would be a lot better if she wasn't wearing the jacket. It blends too well with the SKS, and without a jacket we could see the rifle better.

I'm glad you guys liked the link to Brians website. I have never talked to him, but I am pretty sure I walked past him once when we were taking some pictures of the steam engines SP&S 700 and SP 4449. I checked his site later and he had taken the same pictures that I did.

Thanks,
Erik

Which school will you be going to? OSU/OU/Other? I just moved out here last year to the Eugene/Springfield area. Haven't found any place to shoot worthy of a 7.62 (ie 200+yds) closer than about two hours drive yet. The weather has been a good change from Arizona.

Blackmore,
As a frequent visitor to the Bend / Redmond / Sisters / Black Butte area. Which back road gunshops are you referring to?
