low on dough want a mostly american fal

I know DSA says the only true U.S. made fal. But I cant seem to find any DSA for less than a thousand dollars. My range goes up to about $700. I would do a build if it meant I had to. Whats my best route? If it was all american thats great, but even if some/most of the parts are american thats good too.

You will be using us made compliance parts but other than that if you want 100% us made you have to go DSA. Even then, some of their parts are still surplus. American vs. foreign doesn't really mean diddly with FAL's. I only bought a DSA because I was too lazy to build one myself and at the time they were the only source for the short gas systems and lightweight lowers.

Just check the market place here from time to time. $700 is kind of no man's land for FALs. The CAI ones are not worth that much and the DSA or nicer custom ones are more. A home made one might pop up on the board for around that price. You can get a DSA stg58 for $850. That's the dealer price. Just find a FFL who is willing to do the transfer for you for a small fee (usually around $25).

American fal

think somebody had a fal from a kit for 750.00 on this board? But with DSA selling a fal for 850.00 you also have to include shipping.Dealer fee. and of couarse sales tax.

Hey Foxtrot350, I promise that if I dont get any bites on my FAL for $750 I'll offer it to you first for $700. You'll have to pay a transfer fee to your FFL though. Whaddya think?
