Argentine fmk-3 build
Is it worth it? I have build several firearms and now have the bug. I would really like to have one of these or an uzi but have not been able to find a good source of info on the actual build. So if anyone has built one or knows of the info to do so, can you please point me in the right direction.

weaponeer.net is a good source for odd build information.
IIRC this design is very similar to Uzi, and takes Uzi mags. should use a similar semi method.

Also, you’re probably sane and will live significantly longer than I will. Nonetheless you disgust me, and I take comfort in the knowledge that your obituary will be nowhere near as humorous as mine. The next time I hear "THE RANGE IS NOW HOT", it just wont be the same. Max tried another question. "What sort of people live about here?" "In THAT direction," the Jin said, waving its right paw round, "lives a Han: And in THAT direction," waving the other paw, "lives a Ming Hare. Visit either you like: they're both mad." "But I don't want to go among mad people," Max remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Jin: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Max. "You must be," said the Jin, "or you wouldn't have come here." |

Thanks alot. That web site pointed me in the right direction, but i still lack the info on the actuall build. Apparently this is not so common, or no one post any info on the subject.
Has anyone ever built an UZI or an FMK-3? |

Okay more research has led to the addition of more guidelines for this build. Here is what I have found so far.
1. I need a different diameter tube that would not accept a standard fullauto bolt. 2. I have to modify the bolt to fire from the closed bolt position and such would need a spring loaded firing pin. 3. I will have to cut a slot in the bolt and weld in a matching bar to the reciever to prevent the instalation of a FA bolt. 4.I have to modify the lower to no longer go into the fullauto position, or install antoher trigger group such as an AR, SKS, or something along those lines. 5. And if i was making this into a pistol remove the stock, a rifle i would need to add another barrel to meet BATFE requirements. IF i am missing anything please let me know. I would like to record this build so that anyone wanting to do another one could have some info available. ALSO does anyone have info on an UZI build. For whatever reason SMG kit build info is few and far between. Thanks to everyone that has contributed so far. ![]()
