Does anybody sell an 11 deg "crowning" bit?

The idea is to have an essentially "piloted" drill bit, with an 11 deg flute angle. Just cut off the barrel with a hacksaw, chuck up your piloted big-ole drill, slide the smooth bore-diameter end into the muzzel, and "drill" until you get a clean muzzel end. PRESTO, perfect crown job. Anybody sell something like that? Otherwise you'd need to do the lathe thing...

That's because there is a "." at the end of the link. Try Brownells

I beleive midway also has one here but of course it shows out of stock. Oh well. They also have a radius (instead of a crown) tool.

They are also sometimes called 79-degree crowning tools.

Go figure.

11 deg, 79 deg --> it's all relative to how you look at things I guess. From where I'm standing the angle's 79 deg but the glass is half empty!

I have the Brownell's tools and have done a couple of FALs and a couple of Enfield .303s previously bucthered by others. If you run them in a drill go slow and use plenty of oil. They really cut. I bought the brass pilots but wish I had gotten the steel, I think I bent my brass .308 pilot.
