New TAPCO lower problem

I just got around to putting my new TAPCO lower on my rifle. Now the hammer follows the bolt in E (semi) position. The sear doesn't reset. All the parts came from the old lower and worked fine before. Anybody have any ideas?

Did you correctly reinstall the sear, spring and plunger into the trigger?

All the springs are in the correct place. If I pull the trigger all the way back, the hammer follows. If I hold the trigger right at the point that the hammer drops everything works. Could this be an out of spec lower?

Doubt it. Sounds like the sear spring/plunger is either in backwards or not seated correctly. Take the hammer strut and spring out, work the fire control group manually, and watch the sear to see what happens. I suspect you will be able to determine what the exact problem is.

All fixed now. Don't really know what was wrong. The sear was really hard to push into place so the plunger was probably not seated correctly. Second try, the sear went in easily and everything works fine.

Thanks for the help.
