Looks like you have a good start with Winny receiver, late October of 1941, barrel, bolt, gas cyl, front and rear sights, t/group and cut op rod. The humped gas lock looks a little out of place. Do you have any pictures of your stock? Any cartouches? Would be great if you had Winny furniture! Is there a story that goes with this rifle?

stock is good looking matching wwII walnut.. but its springfield and with out any markings... but the but plate and spacer/ferell ,,piece between front wood and back is winchester as far as I can tell...
gas plug is not and gas lock...the internal parts are correct.. I cant bring my self to buy a correct stock for it...mabe some day on a trade...no story on the gun Just a trade..trying to have one from each maker......still need an H&R the carbines are killing me. I want one from each maker too....so far I have 7 of them.. I wish I knew more about the makers marks.. there fun and time consumeing to collect.. thanks . J.P. |
