h/t/s/ question

to keep the g1 legal, i am gonna use the fse set for the lower, and was wondering if i have to change the selector switch to be legal?, or what mods should i do to it to keep it from going into the full auto position, i know the us parts cannot possibly be the same as the auto stuff, but i do not wanna make any legal problems for myself here, any advice would be greatly appreciated, i ahve noticed that the stg58 form century i have does not go into the auto position

You don't need to. There is no legal reason to change it but DSA sells a new selector that won't go forward into the Auto posistion. Dan's has a pistol grip without the cutout that accomplishes the same thing. It is the cheapest of the two. The PG cleaning kits will also fit inside it.

If you are worried about it, you could weld up the cut out on the full auto side.

you could weld a little tit on the selector so that it hits the pin on the receiver and stops the selector from moving into full auto position (basicaly what the dse selector is like)

The simplest solution is to get a US grip from Dan at falparts.com. The usual "wedge" cutout is not present on Dan's grip. So it is impossible to flick the lever to the full auto position.

I really like the re=shaped inch selector that I've seen on some rifles. It's also easier to reach with smaller hands.
