MN 91/30 feeding issue

I have a 91/30 Tula Hex 1927 that when I feed from the magazine the rounds do a nose dive forward and jam. The feeding system is real simple but I have not spotted the source of the problem.

I would appreciate a clue.

Good bet it is a weak or damaged magazine disruptor spring assembly or a bent follower. This is the "Z"-shaped spring assembly in the magazine, exposed when you open the magazine from the bottom release. This was designed to keep the rimmed cartridges from hanging up on one another, and does a great job of just that. If you have the problem with a full 4 rounds in the mag, but not with only one, it is probably just weak. If you have it all the time, you're probably looking at a replacement. Same assembly should work from old M91/30 or M44 parts.
