Gear Logo w/ DSA overstamp

This is the rifle I mentioned in an earlier post. My bro-in-law's IMBEL gear logo/DSA overstamp on unissued [unfired] STG kit built by DSA. Recently, ARS trimmed/rethreaded the bbl. and installed the new DSA short muzzle device. Buttstock, pistol grip, top cover, forearm, foregrip and curved 30 from DSA. Two R1 straight 30 mags. Still pending a the new green EOTech sight and sighting-in.

DSA and ARS rock.

Never put up a picture of an attractive woman and a weapon for a bunch of guys to look at. They have problems trying to find the rifle-LOL!

Rifle isn't too hard to look at either. Congrats!

Nice STG.

I've also got an STG built on a DSA stamped Imbel receiver. My first, and my only FAL that i didn't build myself.

The STG in the post is my sweetheart and the chick in uniform is my wife. This is my first post but I review the forum EVERY DAY. Great stuff!! I would appreciate comments on Lasers and Lights to finish off this project. When I am finished I will show Pics of Gun / Vest / Gear / and Handguns that I carry for if and when SHTF TYPE SCENARIO will occur. I relize a lot of people think the preparation we plan for will never happen but I was in New Orleans for the first 2 days after KATRINA in water rescue and trust someone who saw it with his own eyes the SHTF. I look forward to your ideas and comments. Gun Plumber, Thanks for the quality work on my barrel work. Very few people in this world will ever need a gun / Those that do will need one very badly. Mine will be a Fal

When you start loading all those 30-rounders, you're going to thank yourself for putting on that forward PG.

Very nice rifle, and your wife looks like a classy lady. Keep enjoying the good life down there in the land of le Bayou...

Best,
John Bear Ross, married to a Cajun woman. Pass the Zachere's! Aa-ieeee!

It is a nice looking rifle (and your wife is a beauty, too)...

Congratulations.

And welcome to the falfiles as a poster...

I do have one slight concern, however, and that has to do with the CBC ammo that I see in the photo. There has been a recall for some of this ammo...

Check out the following:

CBC 7.62mm NATO ammo

If it looks like your CBC is some of the problematic stuff, talk to me some more...

Thanks for the heads up on the CBC ammo. The boxes in the picture were being used for picture purposes only as they belonged to by bro-in-law Turbo Mark 7. The only ammo loaded in my mags currently are the Honady Tap 168 grain bad boys. To your point though I am looking for a high quality bulk ammo for SHTF purposes only. All advice is greately appreciated.

Go South African. Good stuff, decent price, mass quantities available.

Aimsurplus.com should still have plenty.

Best,

Gary,

Here is a picture of what mine looks like. Real faint, and kind of hard to see.

Yep - that's exactly how the rifle is stamped. I acquired the gun back in late '99 - of course the sanitized bbl accomodated a goofy muzzle brake attached by three set screws and some of the trigger parts appeared to have been machined by rubbing metal against cinder blocks...... but it's all okay now.

I have a large pile of RA70 brass - my FAL plinking load is the dreadful IMI 150 gr. ball backed by 748 x 46 grs. that groups better than any mil-surp. (developed in my 'glassed '92 Remington PSS w/ Mk.4 scope). Of course, groups shrink further with Nosler, Speer, Sierra or Hornady missiles and com. brass.

Over the years, my brother - FAL Mouth - and I have consumed many cans of RG which functions great; I'm for accuracy and I just don't waste my money on mil-surp anymore.

I purchased mine around the same time. It didn't have any muzzle device on it, but did have the worst H/T/S that i've ever seen.

Please post a pic of your Fal. I would like to see it.
I will be posting pic's of a pair of 30 round mags that Fal mouth sold to me recently. They are brand new, still in the wrapping. They are in the pics with my Fal but I will post a closeup.
Thanks in advance.

Help Guys and Gals.
I am looking for feedback and info on sights and lights to include NVD's. The EO -tech on mine is my bro-in-laws. I am about to to get the new one on green but I am not sure if I want to go NVD compatible or not. What about lights and what is going to hold up to the abuse of the round. All help is appreciated.
