SUIT cam replacement

I feel like an idiot asking these questions, but I don't find the answers in any of the literature that I have.

HOW do you remove/replace the cam on a SUIT sight.?

You have to take a pair of needle nose or the like to the retaining clip. That is the hardest part. I'd post pics, but I mangled the retaining clip of mine (I didn't have the proper tool and got pissed). After that is gone you just pull and twist until it pops out. It is not threaded.

OK, got it removed, and replaced with a new cam.
Seems to tighten up the whole thing a bit more.
THANKS

For the record, for those searching this later:

To remove the SUIT cam - The bullet drop compensator lever is an allen-head bolt. Remove that and over-rotate the cam so the flat side on the axle lines up with the retaining plate that holds the cam in. Once lined up, the cam just slips out. Slip the new one in, rotate it to one of the normal positions and reinstall the lever.

Considering the number of machinists around here, if someone HAS a 7.62 cam, it could be duplicated!!!

I do have both the .223 & the 7.62 cams. The problem is I'm darned if I can find any dimensional difference!
I realize that the difference will be very small, based on the differing trajectories, and the minute amount the cam has to "tip" the sight, but I just can't find anything.
I've tried measuring at several points, but it aint there.
I think that the earlier suggestion that someone just went out with a cammed sight & "buggered it all on to paper" & used that for the different range settings is beginning to look more & more plausable.
If you want I'll measure every nook & crannie of both of them & post the results, but i get the feeling it just isn't so.
I had the thought of going to the range with both cams. Zeroing with one at the short range position, switching to the long range one & seeing how different the POI was at 100 yds.
Then switching cams, & repeating the test on the same target, but offset to one side. That should settle the discussion of wether therer is a difference or not.
Unfortunately 17 Deg. weather has dampened my enthusiasm a lot.
I did test the vertical displacment of the 7.62 cam a while back, but I didn't compare it to the .223 one, as I had no reason to. If my memory serves me right the displacment was about 5 1/2" at 100 yds.

well, that answers my question.

I guess I'll just print both trajectories and learn the difference...

I guess the correct measurement would be from the centerline of the axle to each flat on the cam. I've never measured, only assumed the items were represented correctly.

My thought would be to measure from the TOP of the "axle" to the base of the cam flat. This is based on the premise that spring tension from the mount system bears down on the axle, which in turn applies pressure to the cam flats.
