duracoat on stainless?

Will duracoat stick to stainless steel? I want to cover my AR 10T barrel with something without taking the gun apart, it shoots to good to mess with it.

Big hairy toe, A company sells a cold applied finish that will darken Stainless.
[Liquid type].I have never used it and cant comment on how it works. To get the duracoat and other coatings to stick you must ruff up the surface to get the finish to adhere. A light blasting of Alum.oxide with a low PSI is how I would start. I also would not use Duracoat as it is a thicker finish. It is best to stick with Gunkote or Norrels because they are a thinner and will hold up better in the long run. I recently did a "Darken the stainless" finish job on my buddies stainless M1A NM barrel and it looked factory. I used Norrels "Flat black" and did two finish/baking cycles. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me, Jerod

The only stainless that is a problem is the 300 type stainless. All other are okay.
