FWIW, I have been trying to sell off some Contenders and barrels, scopes, mounts, etc for almost a year. Moved one frame & barrel and one barrel alone. Hard to sell, due to narrow following. I have finally given up and am buying the rest myself. The Contenders are great firearms.
In hopes of helping you, I will say that the .357 Herrett is a heavy slammer. Really good for hunting. I have a .30 Herrett 10" in this collection. Good in it's own right, NOT as hard hitting as the .357. Good luck. Your offer is a good one. (How about the grip & forend ? Stock or Pach's ? ) Disclaimer: This is NOT a "Ghost Bump" , but what I consider a pertinent commentary, aimed at benefitting a potential buyer as well as the seller. With respect, Owl

it has black plastic grips and stocks. It has a piece on the end of the barrel that I am told is a attachment point for a bipod (I don't know much about This item) The guy selling it has a small gunshop that has a small following so this gun has been on the rack for a few years. Anybody thinking about buying this let me sugest that you should just MAKE AN OFFER!! Thanks Owl and I agree that this was not a "ghost bump" but it is a few days to halloween! Mark ps please use e-mail if you want to contact me on this item marasmfal@comcast.net

I know very little about these, can a 16" barrel and rifle stock be installed legally or is there even such a stock set up for this?

PBM, generally speaking, yes. Stocks are around. IIRC the Contender carbines as sold had 20" tubes. At least the 7x30 Waters I had was. I don't remember the details on the rules. Likely get a lot of commentary,,,,FWIW.
The stainless T/C's I believe, were a line that may not interchange with all others. "Armalloy ?" I know the Encore won't interchange with the "standard" T/C, and the latest versions won't interchange with the "older" versions. At $300 this is a real good deal. If it was Blue, I would snap it up, even tho' I have just gotten a bunch of T/C stuff cuz I could not sell it.

There are several types of synthetic and wood stocks that fit T/C Contenders on the market. |
