5 Round metric mag??

Does this mag exist? I was thinking of using my STG-58 for deer hunting this fall and was wondering where I could get one. Anybody have any leads?

You can also check the specials and closeouts portion at DSAs website. They have factory seconds for $15 each. I bought a couple of em a few months ago and they look perfect.

That sounds like a good deal until you go to order just one and it says you haven't met the 20 dollar minimum order. Hopefully, can get one from a member.

True. I ended up buying 2 of em. Or you'd have to get some small part or a 20 round mag to get over the $20 minimum.

I used a hacksaw on an STG-58 mag that was in urgent need of refinishing.
Actually it ended up as a 4rd mag so I needed to insert a limiter made of wire to make it a 3rd one (legal limit for selfloaders here in Finland when hunting deer and moose).
Cheap and easy solution.

Interesting...how did you get the base plate to stay in place? Did you have to make any special bends?

I have one mag that I could sacrifice to try that.

First I cut the mag body all the way, then cut off two smaller pieces sort of a quarter way from both front and back to leave "flaps" in the middle that I bent to create a similar structure to hold the base plate as in the original mag.

Hmm, didn't explain that very well but hopefully you understand what I mean
