HBR.........that's pretty good!
Actually it's a foam head with a WWI helmet on it. The rest of my helmet collection is elsewhere.

Oh, man.....
Nice rifle!!! I want to build/buy one almost exactly like that. Speaking of the shop area in your pic, I have come to the realization that mine is way too empty!!! I need some crap to go in it. I am taking crap donations.... Send all crap that is good/ no good/ complete/ incomplete/ partially mangled/ rusted / beat to hell/ worthless / pristine/ etc. to me. Thanks |

i notice in the first pic, you've got one of Jerry's AK trigger guard rivet jigs..
VERY nice looking rifle. How does the muzzle brake handle?

Yes, that is one of Jerry's rivet smashing jigs as a matter of fact! As to the muzzle "device"? It's an FSE that I modified slightly. I cut the rings in it on my lathe and then drilled the end four holes in at an angle like the REAL Belgian flash hiders so maybe it will do a LITTLE flash hiding (it's legal again!). It handles fine to be honest. I can only imagine shooting it in the dark!! But no more SUPER SHORT rifles for me. All the new kits will get cut and recrowned to 18" or 19" except for the Inch kits I get. Gotta have those "authentic".

What size did you drill the gas port out to ?
I have a similar rifle with a 14.5 inch barrel and 1.75 inch Holland quick discharge muzzle break. My gas port is 0.125 now after working my way up from standard. I find that ejection starts to become erattic about about 150 rounds without cleaning the gas system. I 'think' its caused by powder fouling slowing things down in the gas system, coupled to the lack of 'time' between the gas port and the end of the barrel. Just wondering how it worked for you.. I also use an 'inch' folding sight with a standard metric forward post which works perfectly. S. |

The gas port is .120 and works fine. But I haven't shot HUNDREDS of rounds in one sitting yet, just a few mag fulls. Too damn BUSY!! But I made an exact duplicate of this carbine a few years ago and sold it to my brother and we shot MANY hundreds of rounds one fun day and it kept on tickin' just fine. That was also a .120 at about a 3 setting if I remember correctly??
The problem is that they are GUNS and they're all different!
