re: foil type liners in the hanguards?
Just recieved my wood hanguards. Did all wood handguards originally come with foil type liners in the hanguards?
If so...can you buy them or make them?

AFAIK, only the Brit and Aussie laminates have the foil liner. It could possibly be replaced with some heavy commercial butcher aluminum foil. But if you wish to line some other HGs, there are newer products out there than foil.

If you check with an A/C installer friend, or maybe at Lowe's type stores as well, you can find the metal foil duct tape.....expensive....but worth it. I line all my handguards with it. It does what it does and keeps the guards cooler!!
