What was Banned?

After reading the letter from ATF and reading various for sale postings, I'm a little confused. I thought the ban affected the import of receivers and barrels.
Yet, many people keep saying the kits they are offering are banned from import, suggesting the entire kit is banned.
So does this ban apply to ALL evil rifle parts or just barrels and receivers/frames?

The import of barrels, receivers/frames has been stopped.

Those who sell kits like an Fal kit may say it is "banned", which is essentially true......what would be left of a Fal kit if you removed the barrel and lower receiver which now are no longer importable?

Hope that helps......

Is it confirmed that lower receivers are no longer importable? Or is the lower classed as a trigger housing?

Barrels and receivers only.

Parts vendors lying to get you to pay panic prices? I'm shocked, positively shocked...

Notice that the BATFE did this with the date almost exactly one year after the AWB expired..?

It's like they're trying to tell gunowners: "Look, you may have won that one, but we can still screw you"
