Thumbs down Crushing the guns - pic attached...

Saw this pic online recently, take a look:

Not sure where this is, or the story behind it, but what a shame. There are hundreds, if not thousands of rifles in the back portion of the photo, and thousands of pistols up front. I can see piles of TT33s, Colt .45 derivatives, revolvers. I also see quite a few weird pistols with curved magazines, look like Star Wars laser blasters or something. All about to be crunched up by a steamroller in a "We're in power and you get to stand back and watch us publicly humiliate you peasants by destroying your guns and your only way of fighting against us" PR event.

Makes one sick...

There are a lot of Tokarevs being wasted. How sad.

Using a steam roller? They are going to have to drive that thing back and forth for days to destroy all those pistols.

By the looks of those feathery hats in the background, it is India or Pakistan

I'm sure they know that. It's probably more symbolic than anything - what's left over after this PR stunt will be thrown in the blast furnace in short order.

Looks like the pic is taken in Pakistan. In Pak who knows what the gun really is. They make copies that you would be hard pressed to tell the diference from the real thing. The kicker is they do it in a shop about half the size of a garage....usually with a file, a hammer, and maybe a drill.

Still sad to see

Wherever it is, you can be sure it's some place where the citizens are terrified of their government and where the government has absolutely no regard for the rights or freedom of its citizens.

On second thought, that doesn't really look like California at all . . .

This is the work of Big Gun manufacturers.
They get you hooked on ideas such as liberty and personal protection then take away the tried and proven weapons in order to make you buy new ones. They know that in order to sell new guns there has to be a market.
Just think if cars were built like airplanes and tractors we wouldn't have to replace them nearly as often.

Really it's sad to see the destruction and to think someone paid for each and every one of those firearms and in a third world country the price paid was a heavy one.

Blood.

The tree of Liberty must be refreshed every once in a while. It's been a very dry spell lately...
