need advise.. loosing rounds
hope someone can give me some advise ..
this past sunday i'm using my fal on a 3p match... i'm using modified mags one, the 5 round from dsa , the other i modified it myself... the problem started when i didn’t pushed the mag all the way in... one of the rounds (dsa mag)logged in.. when i pulled the cocking handle to clear.. 2 rounds came out... having spared rounds next to me i loaded the 2 extra rounds after shooting the other 3 rounds in the mag... so i got my 10 rounds out... well loaded again for the next 10 rounds.. so i switched mag and use the one i modified... first shot went fine , second round malfunction... pulled the cocking handle and then again 2 more rounds out of the mag... any advise out there what could be wrong with the mags... or is something else I should be looking at... |

Shot in the dark, here. *pun intended* Sounds like both magazine springs are weak and not holding proper tension on the rounds in the stack. Did they work before?
See if you can land a magazine of known functional reliabilty to test. JB |
