Any PA C+R collectors out there?
I am in the process of sending in for my C+R, and am wondering if PA has any odd quirks in the state laws when it comes to C+R's. I printed out the state FFL laws off of the ATF's site, it doesn't have any reference to the 03.

I guess it depends on where you live. You do not need any approval from LEO, you just need to notify them. C&R should be POK (Piece of Kake) in most parts of PA. Since I have no local law enforcement, I sent to the County Sheriff who is very pro gun. The only places I would envision a problem would be parts of Allegheny or Philadelphia County.

I also really don't have a local LEO, just the Sherrif, and the Staties. I am in Mercer County, the Sherrif hands out carry permits like candy. I figured I would drop off his copy in person when I update my carry permit next month.
So I just have to keep my bound book like everyone else? |

Mercer Co's gotta be OK for C&R... after all, they issued one to ByronF! ![]() Karl's prolly right about Phila and Allegheney Co, but THE ATFE FFL stds supercede all that noise. ONly issue I *could* see might be some jurisdiction *may* have some sort of zoning odinance against it./ Welcome to the addictio, Paul

Brownell's has a nice "bound book" with examples of how to log different scenarios. For example, if you sell a C&R from your private collection, you must first acquire it "from personal collection" and then disposition it to who you sold it to. Same thing applies if you send one to the gunsmith for some work. If it leaves your premesis, you must log it out as a disposition and log it back in when you get it back. It's not tough to do, you just have to get into the habit of doing it. Being organized with a ring binder with all of you receipts and the original license helps. Good luck and welcome to the club!!
