I've used the Mojo AK rear aperture sight on an SAR-1 and despite the eye relief, I found it to be as usable if not more than the standard open rear sight.

Thanks, I do have a Mojo on the other AK, it works well, but just wondering if this 'cheaper' alternative (Williams) is workable. Seemed like all my AKs shoots either left or right and I'm just too finicky about having the front sight post drifted off to one side.

I have one of those. It works fine but because the peep is so far from your eye it doesn't work the same as the peep on an FAL or any traditional peep for that matter. It's made out on aluminum and not nearly as sturdy as a Mojo or original sight.

I'm just the opposite, I can't stand it when the rear sight is drifted to one side
