Own a SA58 PARA, and 2 STG-58As and all work fine, excellent quality. They are worth the wait or you can always build your own.

Sorry, SA 58 Carbine Standard. Any thoughts on receiver type, butt stock, bipod, etc? Are 18" barrels an option?

I just saw the STG-58, and it is considerably cheaper. I may look into that instead.

I bought a regular spec Stg58A from DSA a few months ago. The gun is BEAUTIFUL but If I coulda done one thing different I would have gone with a different muzzle break or had them ship it with just the threaded barrel and added a vortex myself. The Belgian style that is on mine looks nice but it adds several inches to an already long gun and I like the looks of the vortex better, juat my opinion though. I can say the fit and finish was excellent and I am very pleased with the rifle, probably will buy another gun from them in the future.

They will build you any rifle you desire. I would go with the bone stock variety. Type 1 receiver with Type 1 lower and standard furniture. A flash hider is nice but not required. You can buy a naked barrel and have a smith cut/crown/thread for a nominal fee and install whatever device you desire. If you get the "ban" variety with naked barrel etc. it is very likely that you can have the rifle in your hands inside a week as many dealers have these in stock. When I special ordered one it was a two month wait, but I could have bought one off the shelf at the local dealer.

I would suggest the ARMS mount if you desire a scope.
