newbie questions

Greetings,
I'm new with the FAL (actually owning one) though I had wanted one for a number of years. My brother in law passed away in March and left me his way cool FAL (thanks, BOB!) I've spent time on this site with the FAQ's and got alot of good info. Thanks. First session was a bummer because Bob hadn't cleaned the gun in quite some time. It was basically a single shot. Got it home and broke it down, cleaned it, then took it back out today. Got the gas regulated and then the fun began. The weapon is built on an Imbel receiver, metric, Pacific armament, TAPCO top rail with Bauska red dot sight, clean and in good shape. I've got 10 mags all stoked with good ammo and I sit down to wring her out. Had one recurring problem: jamming/feeding problems on 8 out of 10 mags, all when the cartridge was on the left side of the mag. No problem with feeding off the right side, and 2 mags worked flawlessly. All magazines look the same to me, no dents of differences. Only other thing I noticed was when the barrel got hot shots wandered 6 moa to the left and 2 moa high at 100 yards. Any input from those of you who've been playing with this lady would be appreciated. I might add that the first clean 20 round mag left me with an ear to ear grin! I'm hooked! Thanks and warmest regards, Bearman
