More Newby questions! Ohboy!
Ok, I've learned how to field strip and maintain the rifle. I understand i need a special tool to remove the butstock. How do i remove the handguard and heat shield to access the gas tube od? How do i remove the Bi-pod? Is there an online source for complete take-down? Thanks again!

theres a screw that goes thru the gas block, that takes the hg's off.
taking the bipod off may be a problem for you, you have to take the muzzle brake in your case off first then the coupler, the bipod also comes off the coupler with a drift pin. hth |

Yes, there is a screw that runs thru the gas block, is that all i have to do? It looks like there may be more involved then just that 1 screw?
Is there a source of info that i can find so i can stopp asking these simple questions?

Yes, there is...somewhere in the FAQs. ![]() But then, what would we have to do? ![]() For field strip/cleaning, access to the tube is from the front of the GB. Removal of same would NOT be a "field" operation. Sweet lookin' rifle. Best, Paul
