Springfield P9 vs. CZ 75?

Hey Folks!
Well, I'm a big fan of the CZ 75 and due to some unfortunate circumstances I no longer have my CZ 75. Anyway, now that my circumstances are better I'm in the mood for another CZ 75. Yesterday, I stumbled upon a Springfield P9 that is in pretty good shape. It's pretty much a copy of the CZ 75. It seems to be a tad bit bigger than my ex-CZ 75 and a little heavier. The price is $349.00 out the door which isn't bad but I can get a new CZ 75 for about the same price. Oh what to do! I'm sure the Springfield is a good pistol but why buy used when I can have new. My other question is I know that Tafanglo(sp) has been producing their CZ copies for years but I have no experience with them. How do they rate and should I consider one of these? My other delima is that I currently have 2 high capacity CZ mags and I would like to be able to use them with whatever I purchase. Give me your .02 if you have any experience with these pistols. Thanks! RB

I'm no CZ expert, but there's some good info here: CZ forum
Magazines may or may not be interchangeable, depending on who made the magazine or pistol and when the mag or pistol was made (there's an article on this in the FAQ section). I know... clear as mud.

Get the CZ-75B - best 9mm ever made, IMO...

Don't screw around with the used stuff when you can get new for the same money, esp. a CZ which is a great value.

My EAA Witness (Tangfolio) is a very nice product. I had to replace the rear sight with an adjustable millet one to get it zeroed tho. My only bitch with it is the 16# double action trigger pull.
Edited to add; TZ and CZ mags are different.

Tanfaglio of Italy used to make the TZ75, a close copy of the CZ75, and has also made the Jericho/Baby Eagle parts (but assembled in Israel) and has also made the Springfield P9 as well as the EAA Witness series. All the mags are interchangeable among the Italian 9mm copies but may or may not work in the CZ75 due to the slight difference in the mag catch slot.

I would go for the CZ myself if I had a choice.

There is a couple of Swiss made copies, formerly the AT-84 and more recently the Onyx, that are high quality copies of the CZ75. I saw an AT-84 several years ago at a local gunshop that had a brown finish to it and it was a handsome pistol. Should have bought it.

Thanks to all of those who replied. I'm leaning towards getting another CZ 75. In fact, I saw an earlier model CZ 75 pre-B for $450... in great shape. I may give the dealer a call to see if he still has it. I figure the extra $ 100 bucks is worth it. Thanks agin All! RB
