FAL flash supressor installation

Is it legal to install the muzzle brake back on the FAL now with the exparation of the law??

If it is ok, would the barrel have to go to a gunsmith to be repaired?
My barrel is smoth but I can see that something is missing. Was there a piece of steel that the brake connected to????

Any advice???

Thanks.

Yes, but you still need to keep your US parts count.
