Here ya go Vince, the pistol to go with your Mexican Mauser collection. I can gaurantee you'll be the only person with one. I think I'd scrimshaw the eagle and snake into the grips to complete it though.

Kind of makes me nostalgic for the days when the only finishes routinely used on guns were bluing. parkerizing and plating. To think, chrome was once considered gaudy in some circles !

How much is the sellerer offering to give someone to take that? Seriously, if there is not reserve and you get if for say $50, you could always remove the current finish and park it. Remove the finish, with extreme prejudice that is

OMG, it's a Sesame Street Special!

Both of those pistols are just plain wrong, tastefully painting up an match grade comp. AR15 is one thing, but painting up a perfectly good work horse of a pistol is another.
