bent bipod foot straightening

Was wondering if anyone had ever com up with a good way to straighten a bent foot on a stg kit. thought about a piece of hardwood shaped to fit inside a good foot then use the hardwood to shape the bent one. Would be best to mount hardwood to a base then place the bent one over the hardwood and work the foot out with a mallet. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
