single shot???
I was testing my Century R1A1 (I know, I bought it before finding this site).
I adjusted the gas system and it cycled with the adjustment all the way out at the starting point. The first mag ran fine, I shot it slowly checking the sights and making sure each round ejected. After about 4 shots into the second mag, it refused to eject. I manually ejected the round and from then on, it wouldn't eject no matter where I put the gas adjustment. What should I check first? |

By any chance did you remove and replace your gas plug or piston? If so, you might have put your gas plug back in upside down. Instant single shot. Ihate to say it, but it happpened to me once.

I may have solved my own problem. Mine has the grenade launcher sight. I flipped the sight and stood it up to keep it from getting in the way of my iron sights during recoil. Does this have the effect of flipping the gas system off for grenade use?

The grenade sight will cut off the gas if rotated, not just raised.
It should not move under recoil the + cut on the left (when folded down) side should keep the blade from moving on it's own.

I did raise and rotate it. It was locked in the +, but moving up aroune 1/16 and blocking the front sight. even locked there was enough play to let it move a little. I will have to find a way to remove it.
