Yugo SKS Gas Tube

I must be clueless. I cannot figure out how to remove the gas tube.

I raise the lever on the gas block, but the tube sticks. Is there a trick to removing the tube?

Any ideas are appreciated.

You have to flip the lever up beyone the site block.
