My Po8 arrived today - specified BYF - got a 1942 issue. Not all matching, but the major parts are.
Not matching - extractor, take down cover, safety, magazine Barrel is pretty clean - some frost, but satisfactory. Frame, bolt and toggle are tight and correct - firing pin is a match. Only loose part is the safety - it moves with little resistance, but I believe that I can adjust it. I do not think it was a great value, but I am satisfied and unless there is a disaster at the range I plan to keep it. Shipping was prompt - ordered Friday morning and arrived Monday afternoon. Since it is a shooter I may want to polish and reblue. The walnut grips are worn, but not terrible and cleaned up pretty nice - fit well without cracks or chips - some compression and wear. Shot it today - accurate - sights are difficult for my old eyes, but it is a keeper, though too expensive. |
