What I saw at my gunsmith's place today

I went to see my gunsmith today to drop off an AR upper that needs to have the muzzle threaded. He leaned into his safe and says "Since you're an FAL guy I figured you'd like this." He stands up with what looks to be a brand new HB Izzy, and hands it over to me.

He had just Parked it for another customer, and advised me not rack the bolt so it wouldn't scratch the finish. He didn't put the bipod on, again so it wouldn't scratch. I'm drooling over it, all parts were Izzy except the Springfield Inc. SAR 48 receiver, when he says "It's a machinegun."

YOWZA! Schwing!

I wanted to know how well it shot, he told me the the guy says it's very controllable on full auto, even with the bipod on. He then told me it's worth $15K. Yikes!

I handed it back to him very gingerly, and thanked him for the look. I'd love to dump just one mag through that baby.

There used to be a video on the 'net of a guy shooting an Izzy full auto, and he had a cigar in his mouth at the time and the rifle was apparently quite easy to control and the ash never got knocked off the cigar.

Yeah, I want to fire a full auto Izzy sometime.
Nah...........I want one sometime.

sounds nice but i think at 15 grand is a little overpriced

U know thats one thing that chapped me about paradise.

course here in Kentucky its a little different...I must say I really miss the food though

Yep, at John's place. He also has an Imbel/Imbel of mine that needed a new gas block.

Thanks for turning me on to him. He's a great guy to deal with.
