#1-Remington 870 staggered magazine #4 shot (condominium, thinking of neighbors), 00buck (sorry neighbor, shit's getting ugly) and 1oz. slugs on the side saddle.(all bets are off I'm being overrun. Neighbors take cover.). #2- Ruger Security Six (smaller frame, good for wife) loaded with 125gr. SJHP .357 MAG. #3- If I need a third gun it's going to be the Smith 642 I always have on me, and it's probably a good bet that I'm screwed. I can only hope I'm taking a couple of the bastards with me.

Mossy 590 with Remington 12 ga 00 Buckshot, LE reduced recoil. If the police take it after a home invasion I won't be out of a lot of money, gun wise. But favorite shotgun is Benelli M4.

4" Smith 19 upstairs, Springfield 1911A1 downstairs. Also, 20ga. 870 wearing an 18" rifle-sighted slug bbl. in the back of the closet. Got that for my 11- and 12-yr.-olds, (yute model), but serviceable for me and right size for Herself. Bushy CAR , SA SAR48 and HK91 in the safe.....hope I never need them...er, any of 'em , actually.

If me coming out of our bedroom nekkid doesn't scare off an intruder, then I still have my glock 23 chock full of speer gold dots in hand. Wifey has a Beretta 92 in case anyone but the nekkid guy with the glock should come back into the bedroom. I'd like to say my 1911a1 would be my go to gun, but in the thousand or so rounds I've run through my Glock I've experienced absolutely zero malfunctions clean or dirty. Wish I could feel that safe with my .45.

You guys with the scatter guns might want to think about where some of those 00 pellets might go once you let em loose in your house. Family members asleep on the other side of that thin sheetrock wall could end up as unintended receipients.
Of course on the other hand, were I an intruder I'd be more apt to soil myself if someone stuffed a 12 guage in my face rather than a measly .40 Glock.

Wrist rocket with a good supply of specially hardened rabbit turds.
The rabbit scat is a special blend of all natural Kali trail mix fermented with a special blend of garlic and anchovies for a week. Boy ! Those rabbits sure look uncomfortable by the time they are finally allowed to let fly after a week or so of holding it all in. They sure perk up after though. A little Bud Lite in their water bottle and they are soon ready to go again.

I'll ask the maintainance worker at my building. He knocked and when I didn't answer he let himself in. I didn't know he could do that and he didn't know I sleep days. He wanted to fix my cable jack. I stuck a 12 guage in his face.

My cable jack still isn't fixed

Whatever I have been carrying that day is on top of the dresser when I go to bed, otherwise it is on my hip. I keep it simple, not going to have any of my nice and/or expensive guns being bounced around an evidence barrel at the Police Dept's Firearms Lab after popping somebody who asked for it. If it happens to be a knockaround CCW, it won't show any abuse

Yeah, the 8 rounders cost way more than they should, but that's what the market is.

Basically, about $80.00 each delivered from the UK.

As far as a pistol vs. shotgun, I don't have anyone to worry about with stray buckshot.

I have a specially trained German Shepherd. Once he detects an intruder, he activates a special tape playback of screaming MALL NINJAS followed up by my
X nagging at me. At that time the dog retreats to the bedroom with me, where we both cover our ears with pillows. We figure anyone who can still attack after all that can't be stopped with anything less than a stake through the heart. JT

Normally my bedside gun is a Taurus PT-92 with Cor-Bons, but during the Holidays (When my 7 year old is around a lot), the HG's go into the safe.
Right now I have a SAR-1 with a Romanian folder and a 10 round mag holding 10 of those nasty Wolf hollow points propped up against the nightstand.
I have a Streamlight Scorpion mounted aside the front sight with a push-on, push-off switch.
There is also a Surfire Z2 with the 120 lumen lamp hanging on the bedpost.
I'm thinking that a Beretta Cx4 Storm would make a nice housegun. I already have tons of mags for one.

Bedside,Ive got a Ruger P-95 DAO with multiple 15 rd loaded with Hydros, wife has a Colt Mustang 380 also with Hydros.
My AK 47 is in the corner with a 40 rd mag inserted, just cock it and rock it!
At the end of the day my Witness comes outa the truck into the house and sits on the stand by the couch, and theres a NAA 22 mini revolver hidden in the clock on the wall.(there are no kids in the house BTW)
Two dogs,a Rotty/Shepard mix and a Pit/Boxer mix that sleep in the bedroom with us, that immediately notify us if the grass is blowing or a leaf falls to the ground

Half of the mags for my ARs,AKs or my Fal are loaded at all times,(rotated once a month)

We sleep pretty sound when the dogs will let us

Beretta 1201FP loaded with Duplex Turkey loads. Slugs or buckshot can be quickly changed out for Turkey loads, and the weapon can be cleared quickly once it's discovered that all the racket was only the cat.

Winchester 1300, #4 and 00.

I'm pretty quick with it having caught many a deer trying to jump a log, it'll put a heck of a dent in a fella, and it makes a pretty down to earth exhibit A.

Now Daisy, I am not sure which is scarier, the fact she would keep something like that without your knowledge, or that fact she has it period! Imagine if that surprised you? I am going to have bad dreams for you on this one
