Ishy No.1 MkIII reasonable value ?
Found a very neglected Ishapore No. 1 MK III at a local shop. Absolutely caked with dust & cosmoline. I think it has hung in the same spot for years and I never spotted it before. Dust bunny camoflage maybe ? I wiped off enough to take a preliminary peak at it. Not enough to get the good stuff like dates, etc. Just that it's Indian, Century marked and is missing the safety spring and maybe the magazine. The mag is not in it but the owner MAY possibly remember where it went. If he ever had it. Bore actually looked pretty good. Most of the paint was on the metal and the wood looked in pretty decent shape with no major flaws. Not a perfect piece and I will assume the mag has wandered off. Any idea what it might be worth as is ? Safety springs are listed by Numrich and Springfield Sporters. Replacement mags are listed also. About $40 worth of parts.

I would make a pass at 125 maybe 150. I would value a complete gun at about 200-250.

I'll have to look around in my storage unit, but I think that I have another Enfield mag somewhere that I could trade if it'll help you out.
On another note, is it me or has there been a multitude of Enfield threads here today? |

If it is an actual Ishapor with no mag, based on your details, I would offer around $80 at the most. No real collector value per say, but as a shooter, both of mine are sweet. But I would not get too overboard with the value.
